Come support the Holy Ghost parish picnic! We have something for everything! The picnic kicks off Saturday night with a roast beef dinner following Mass. Sunday kicks off following the 11:00 Mass. Volunteers are needed to help continue our successful picnics! Friday night, help is needed with getting tables and chairs setup once the big tents are put up! Cleaning the grounds/blacktop of debris and dirt, hanging lights in the big tents, and much more! Saturday, more help is also needed in setting up the game areas, getting country store items organized and marked, getting the grocery walk bags put together and organized, collect cakes that are donated, get the shed organized for the roast beef dinner, and much more! Sunday morning, assistance is needed in making sure everything is brought out for the various stands. Once all the fun has been had, help is also needed to get everything put away and cleaned up, tables and chairs put away, tents brought down, and much more!
Again - we need lots of help from volunteers to have a successful day. Please share your time and talents with your parish by helping out - even if it's working at a stand for an hour or two, you're still helping! We are currently in need of someone to take over some of the areas that have no one to oversee (Lead Chairperson, Pepsi Stand) or the current people want to step down after doing it for 20+ years (Kids' Games)! If you're interested, please contact Father Justin, Wanda Brooks, or Candas Konop!
Come eat at the Holy Ghost stand at the "Chippewa Fair" aka Northern WI State Fair. Last year, Holy Ghost purchased the former Kiwanis fair stand to help us keep our presence at the fair and to continue our community involvement and contribute to our fundraising efforts in support of the Parish. There are no other stands that offer the variety of foods that Holy Ghost does! See you at the Fair!
Holy Ghost fair stand will also be open for some of the other events going on at the fairgrounds throughout the summer/fall!
Join us for burgers, brats, hotdogs, salads, chips, desserts following the 11 a.m. Mass to celebrate all Fathers! This picnic is being sponsored by the Fall Picnic Committee. Some chair people will be on hand to talk about our biggest fundraiser of the year. We are looking for new volunteers for some of the 'stands.' Please prayerfully consider sharing your time and talents by helping out with our big Parish Picnic. Our picnic is a success because of the many people who volunteer their time, but we are always needing new people to join the mix and take over for someone who has been doing it for years. Weather permitting, we will hold this Father's Day picnic on-grounds! If we're rained out, we will have it in the church basement/cafeteria. See you there!
A big change for our picnic this year will be that we will not have our chicken dinner in combination with the picnic. It was decided to try having this as a separate event from the picnic and will be held October 1st.
