We have a prayer book in the church when you walk in. Write down the name of the person you would like the parish to pray for and their name/s will be read out loud. The parish will all pray together for that person.
Who would you like the parish to pray for? Are you worried about a family member or friend? Are you unsure about what to do next? Has a loved one recently died? Are you looking for employment? Is work or retirement not going as you had hoped?
We will be honored to pray with you for whatever is close to your heart.
What is the name of the person for our prayer intentions?
We clearly recognize the importance of mass intentions. When we face the death of someone, even a person who is not Catholic, to have a Mass offered for the repose of his soul and to offer our prayers are more beneficial and comforting than any other sympathy card or bouquet of flowers. To have a Mass offered on the occasion of a birthday, anniversary or special need is appropriate, beneficial and appreciated.
Mass intentions can be made through the church secretary. You write down the name of the person you would like mass said for. The priest says the name of the person for the mass prior to mass and the end of the mass. There is a $10.00 fee for a mass intention.
If you have any questions regarding mass intentions, you may contact Holy Ghost Parish at (715) 723-4890 and ask to speak to a secretary.
What is a prayer chain? A prayer chain is a network of people who receive prayer requests, forward them to the next person and then prays for the request.
If you would like to submit a prayer request, it will be shared with our parishioners who are on the prayer chain so they may pray for those who want to be prayed for. If you or a family member is need of prayer, the Lord shall hear your request through the prayers of the entire prayer chain. You are not walking a lonely course, but rather holding hands with those who care. Healing is a long process that begins with prayer and faith.
If you would like to be on the prayer chain or have a prayer said for you or others, please contact Corrine Schommer at (715) 723-8782.
